Hello-
I am 5'8, 21 y/o, and 185 pounds. I was pregnant for a few months and by the time I m/c in March of this year, I was up to 203 pounds. I was sedentary during my pregnancy because there were complications, and needless to say I was depressed, so I ate all the time.
Since the beginning of March, I have lost 18 pounds. My main goal is to be healthy again and active. I would love to weigh 160 pounds again like high school, but my body is so different now I don't even know if thats possible!
I haven't been starving myself to lose this weight so fast- I promise. My body isn't meant to be this big, so maybe thats why its coming off so fast. I work out 5-6 days a week, 4 days or more doing cardio. I drink 120 oz. of water a day and I don't eat after 6pm. I only drink alcohol once every two weeks or so.
I try to eat my carbs earlier in the day with protein for good digestion, etc etc.
My BMR is 1600 calories a day.
My question: When I'm calculating my calories each day, do I factor in my BMR to what I have burned? Like, if I burned 400 at the gym, do I add that to 1600 for the day?
Also, what is a healthy caloric intake to maintain each day. I am very busy and forget to eat a lot, so I don't want to screw my metabolism up. I have very slow metabolism and can gain in an instant.
Any advice would help! I need to lose about 30 more pounds too.
THANKS!
