After a long winter you may feel a little bit tired and listless. Pamper yourself with fresh greens and juicy fruits. Fresh vegetable salad is a vitamin cocktail; it is easy to prepare and tasty to eat.
Raw vegetables contain plenty of vitamins and minerals and very few calories. A portion of vegetable salad before the main meal will tame your appetite and save you up to 200 calories.
Try a salad with plenty of crispy green lettuce, which is a good source of vitamins A, C, K and minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus). Lettuce is very good for your health. It is low in calories so it helps you keep your waistline trim. Moreover, lettuce decreases the cholesterol level and helps to avoid heart diseases.
Lettuce salad "Green Spring"

Preparation time: 15 minutes.
Ingredients:
1 fresh head lettuce, shredded
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 tomato, sliced
1 green pepper, sliced
3 fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 tablespoon grated cheese
Dressing:
1 tablespoon olive oil with lemon juice
Directions:
Toss all ingredients together in a large bowl (except dressing). Add dressing just before serving.

Good Post but no picture?
I just realize when reading this article that actually we are gaining weight during winter. Since the weather is so cold, we tend to get hot soup and some meats. We do not realize that we eat so much. However, I really like to try this diet since it is full with vegetables which cannot be new variety for the menus.
I think it is very good post. It will be better if you can give us some pictures of the menus so people are interested in the food and try it at home.

This recipe seems to be Lip-Smacking. I've tried this recipe this sunday & just loved it. Many people begin a diet well, they start to lose weight, but then, something happens in their life, they get discouraged, and instead of accepting that things do go wrong now and again, they simply quit the diet.
