Most people out there actively try to avoid ending up getting a disease such as diabetes and alzheimer’s and perhaps even work on improving the condition of their heart. However, when was the last time you ever thought about the health of your kidneys? If you honestly can’t remember then perhaps it’s time that you start paying them more attention.

The reality is that your kidneys are one of the most important organs in your body. They are actually responsible for filtering about 200 quarts of blood each and every day.

They also have the job of filtering about 2 quarts of excess water and waste… which actually becomes urine down the road.

The other thing to note about your kidneys is the fact that they produce specific hormones which help to regulate the chemicals in your blood. Therefore, making sure that you look after your kidneys is one of the most important things you’re ever going to do.

Here are the tips to help you do exactly that…

Make Sure You Drink At Least 64 Ounces of Water Daily

One of the most important things you can do to keep your kidneys healthy is to stay hydrated at all times. Doing so will help to keep the concentration and volume of your blood balanced.

The other benefit is that it will help to keep your digestive system in good working order, regulate your body temperature and help to get rid of the toxins in your body as quickly as possible.

So that means for the average person out there, you’re going to take in at least 64 ounces of water on a daily basis.

However if you’re one of the few people that sweats a lot or exercises often then you want to increase the amount of water you drink by half your body weight in ounces.

So to give you an example… if you weigh 160 pounds then you should aim to drink about 80 ounces of filtered, pure water every single day.

Avoid Holding It In

One of the main jobs of your kidneys is to filter the blood that’s in your body.

When it’s done filtering… all the excess water and waste products will be stored up in your bladder waiting to be removed from the body.

But the reality is that your bladder can only hold about 14 ounces of water before it gets full.

Not going to the bathroom when your bladder is full will result in it stretching out more than it actually should stretch out.

When you do finally go to the bathroom to urinate your bladder won’t actually empty up completely. Doing this again and again over time will result in you getting a urinary tract infection.

Drink More Fresh Juice

Now obviously no matter how much juice you end up drinking it will not result in you making your kidneys disease free, but you can be sure that it will help to keep your kidneys as healthy as possible.

By drinking juice on a daily basis you’re going to allow your digestive system to absorb all the excess water that’s floating around your system and on top of that it will cause your body to flush out those nasty toxins with ease.

However if you happen to be suffering from kidney stones then I’d recommend that you totally avoid making juice that contains beets, spinach, and collard greens.

The reason being is that these vegetables contain a lot more oxalic acid which actually promotes the creation of kidney stones.

Eat Right

You can be sure that what you eat affects how your body ultimately functions.

If all you eat is processed junk foods everyday then you can be sure that it’ll affect your body and your kidneys in a negative way.

Hence why I highly recommend that you avoid eating processed junk foods from now on.

So if you can’t eat junk, then what should you be eating?

Well, your focus should be on consuming foods that actually strengthen your kidneys… such as green tea, garlic, parsley, watermelon, and fish.

Take the Right Supplements

It’s important that you take some form of cranberry extract because not only it will help to keep your kidneys work perfectly but it will also help to keep your bladder protected.

So how is this red berry so effective at keeping your kidneys working well? The trick is that cranberries help to keep away harmful bacteria from your kidneys.

They also have the ability to prevent inflammation and the bonus is that they contain a ton of much-needed antioxidants.

To make sure that your kidneys stay in great condition, take 400 mg of cranberry extract every single day. Another important supplement that you’ll want to get enough of vitamin D. So be sure that you’re getting at least 600 IU of vitamin D in your system every day.

Your kidneys were designed to last your whole life. Taking proper care of them will ensure that you’ll be able to keep them healthy and strong for as long as possible! Of course, this will naturally result in your overall health improvement.
