A cup (230 grams) of white grapefruit has 76 calories, 1.6 grams of protein and 19.3 grams of carbohydrates including 2.5 grams of dietary fiber and 16.8 grams of sugar. Grapefruits are virtually fat-free, with only 0.2 gram of fat per cup.  A cup of pink or red grapefruit contains 97 calories, 1.8 grams of protein and 24.5 grams of carbohydrates including 2.7 grams of dietary fiber and 15.8 grams of sugar. White grapefruits are 28% lower in calories than pink and red grapefruits.
