Please Help! Toning Emergency!

Hoping someone might be able to help me; I don't want to lose any weight, i should prob.actually gain but; i just want to tone!!! What are the best exercises to do? Currently i use a thermoband and light weights but i don't think im doing the right exercises because nothing is toning!!! Please help!

Toning

In health clubs the word "to tone" means to improve your fat to lean body mass ratio. That is you lose weigh so that your muscle can be seen. To get toned, people do cardio exercises such as, for example, jogging.

I guess this is not your case. I think you just want to increase strength and endurance of your muscle. Strength training is good for this. Remember to consult with your doctor before you start your exercise program.

You will need to choose 8-10 exercises for all the major muscle groups - arms, legs, abdominals and back. You should always start with stretching. Please see How to stretch your major muscle groups and Choosing exercises.

Choose a weight that you can lift between 16 and 20 times. This will help you increase endurance. If you do fewer repetitions with more weight, you will increase muscle size.

A qualified professional must show you how to correctly perform the exercises. And the trainer must monitor how you do the exercises. There are too many mistakes a beginner can make. Proper technique is very important as it helps to avoid injury.
