hi

hi am am trying to lose weight 75 as a matter of fact , and i have been having a hard time losing it , i will lose 20 pounds then it sneaks back up on me , so i was wondering about the BMR. Will it help me?

This doesn't make sense to me.

Hello,
I am 5'5", a 27 year old female and weigh about 195. I am a very healthy eater. I generally only eat raw vegatables, choose light dressings and good portions. I stay away from fried and fast foods and drink plenty of water and hot tea. I am only eating about 1500 calories a day yet I haven't lost any weight. At points I will eat more (if it's around my period) which is why I think I may have gained weight. I exercise a few times a week. My BMR states that I burn 2000 calories a day with vertually no exercise. If I was burning more calories than I was eating, wouldn't I lose weight then? I do want to be healthy and in shape. I would like to start exercising more, but I want to make sure my caloric intake is healty. I would like to weigh 135. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

It sounds like you're a typical victim of metabolism burnout. Not only are you deficient in your daily calorie intake, but you are not supplying you body with the necessary macronutrients that are needed to build your metabolism into the necessary butt kicking system needed to burn calories effectively. A raw food diet is good for cleansing, and weight loss for certain individuals, but obviously not for you...Stop starving your body and give it the protein, carbs & fats 4-6 times a day in moderate portions. Add low impart cardio exercise 40 min. 3xs weekly and add strength training. Sleep well at night, but most of all be patient & consistent for at least three months and you will see a difference. Good luck
